About Us

Hinton Engineering was established in 1988 by Bruce Durie with the intention for providing services within the domain of rail plant maintenance. As the business grew and experience developed its focus broadened to include aspects of leasing machinery and importing rail equipment.

Currently the business is experiencing considerable growth within the importing facet of operations. Such imports include various rail plant machinery, all of which have proven their reliability and efficiency in similar operations within other countries. The most notable being products from two Swedish based businesses Rosenqvist Rail AB and SRS Rail Vehicles AB and FCM an American rail operation . These products are further modified and refined by us to suit the Australasian standards and conditions to ensure their desired operation is maintained and/or improved.
